Brief Visit to Evanston and A List of Chrises
My DVD collection is complete again. I went to Evanston on Friday mainly to pick up the DVDs (and CD-Rs) I loaned to NU Anime. I also visited with Chris and Chris (more on that in a second). Both of them were enjoying their last day of classes at NU, as Reading Week (the week where College of Arts and Sciences students have no class) starts on Monday. Dillo Day, an all-day all-night party which has students getting drunk before noon and features things such as a free concert on the lake and vintage porno, is tomorrow. I kind of miss those days...then I remember the drunkenness and I don’t quite miss it as much.
Now, every time I have mentioned someone named Chris, I’ve had to clarify it. I know and have known so many people named Chris, that this is actually necessary. I could just say the entire name each time, but I don’t want to do that. So, I am going to list every single Chris that has been (or could be) mentioned in this blog. Here we go:
- Chris Jones: The “original” Chris, the black Chris, the one who is graduating this year, the one who I’ve been friends with the longest
- Chris Martin: The white Chris, the one who graduated last year and is going to law school, the one into anime, comics, role-playing, and Adult Swim
- Chris Brown: The “cool” Chris, the biracial (half-black, half-white) Chris, the Chris who has “smoked” on occasion
- Chris Senate: The old Chris, the one who is friends with Paul, the one who is going on 40, the one I don’t know very well
- Chris Martin 2: The young Chris, the one who is also friends with Paul, the other one I don’t know very well
- Christopher: The family friend, the one who is the son of my mom’s high-school friend, the one who is married with children and currently living in Mississippi
There, dammit. I may have to link to this post for future reference when I mention a Chris again, but after reading this, it should be easy to figure out who is who if I don’t clarify. By the way, the Chrises I saw at NU on Friday were Jones and Brown.
