A Small Portion Of The Internet Doesn't Just Hate Me-An Update

Well, apparently, this situation is a lot more than some sites being offline. There are some Internet backbone behind-the-scenes issues going on. An anonymous poster linked to this article on News.com about the situation in a comment in the previous post (Thanks!). I hope this crap is resolved very soon. Although it's only affecting me in a very small way (that I know of), it's hitting others a lot worse. I hope this makes ISPs consider backup plans for situations like this. As the net becomes more and more important to our daily lives in ways beyond e-mail and instant messenging, problems like this have the potential to be pretty devastating.
