Happy Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving to everyone who celebrates it out there!
As of now, our family's Thanksgiving plans are kind of murky, but hopefully, things will turn out good. And despite the time of this post, I'm determined to wake up and see the parades this year.
One thing I'm thankful for...the Bulls winning their first game of the season! They beat the Utah Jazz in a thriller of a game with easily some of the best play they've shown thus far this season. It's also the first game they've won on their yearly West Coast-centric "Circus Road Trip" (when they go on the road because the circus is at the United Center) since the Dynasty ended. Although it took 10 games for them to get their first win, the Bulls are a team that is better than their record shows. They have a nice group of rookies (Luol Deng, Chris Duhon, Ben Gordon, and Andres Nocioni) that look great thus far. Combine this with the improved/improving performances of Curry and Chandler, and the continued good performance of Hinrich and AD, and you get a team that could surprise people during the course of this season. They almost won quite a few of those games that they lost (like that heartbreaking season opener against New Jersey). I hope this win gives them the confidence to keep playing well...and the ability to finish a game strong.
