Things To Do For Black History Month Day 11

Things To Do For Black History Month Day 11: Donate To A Charity That Helps African-Americans/Africans

Donating to a known and respected charity is one of the best things a person can do in general. Why not donate some money to a charity that will help Africans or African-Ameircans for Black History Month? You can donate to primarily black-oriented charities like the United Negro College Fund. You can donate to social charities like the United Way, YMCA, or the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, charities whose work helps African-Americans. You can donate to the American Red Cross to help them with their efforts worldwide. Remember that the tsunami didn't just hit Asia, it also hit Somalia, an African country. You can donate to charities that are associated with the top health problems for African-Americans like heart disease and high blood pressure, diabetes, and HIV/AIDS. Your donations will in either a direct or indirect way help African-Americans. While I didn't provide many links in this particular post, there is a lot of information out there. Google and other search engines can help you find it. Just remember to check out any charity before you donate money just to be safe.

  1. Black history month? I thought history was universal and I don't find good to study black only history as it might be altered if isn't studied with the rest of the happenings around.
