Things To Do For Black History Month Day 17

Things To Do For Black History Month Day 17: Volunteer

Volunteering is a great thing to do in general, but doing so will also indirectly or directly help African-Americans. There are many places that you can volunteer, like your local church or school. The types of volunteering you can do varies greatly. You can do things like help feed the homeless or sign up for a mentoring program. As part of the General Assistance I am receiving from my township, I am volunteering at the local Food Depository. If you want to follow in the footsteps of the various social programs that African-American groups have enacted over the years or if you just want to help people, volunteering is the way to go.
