Pretty Toney...

Well, I’ve given a good listen to Ghostface (Killah)’s The Pretty Toney Album. Of his albums, this one is probably his weakest. However, that doesn’t mean this album isn’t good. There is a lot to like about it. “Tush” featuring Missy Elliott is a fun, catchy, sexually charged jam. “Run,” produced by The RZA and featuring Jadakiss gives off the flavor of earlier Ghostface songs like “Daytona 500”. No ID (The other Chicago producer who produced Common’s earlier albums) produced two songs, including the superb “Love” featuring Musiq and K. Fox. It’s virtually on par with Ghostface’s other “emotional” songs like “All That I Got Is You” and “Child’s Play.” All in all, it’s a solid effort from Ghost and one can hope that Method Man’s upcoming Tical 0: The Prequel will at least be as good as The Pretty Toney Album is.
