Things To Do For Black History Month Day 5

Things To Do For Black History Month Day 5: Visit Some "Blackblogz"

There is a rich history of autobiographical and nonfiction writing by African-Americans, from slave narratives to beloved books such as Alex Haley's Roots. Therefore, it makes sense that black people continue this tradition (in somewhat small numbers) with blogs. I am black and blogging has become one of my favorite things to do. However, there are a ton of other blogs written by African-Americans and black people from all over the world. So, I highly suggest you check out the list of blogs at Blackblogz, one of the webrings that I am part of. Through these blogs, you can explore the viewpoints of various black people and find that we are not as monolithic as some would lead you to believe. There are a diversity of voices within the Black blogosphere and they are enlightening to read regardless of your race.
