Spider-Man 2...Finally

Despite the pledge to see it in the theater (because the original didn't translate to the small screen too well), my sister and I did not end up seeing Spider-Man 2. However, with Auntee buying our family a copy, Mom, Dad, and I sat down to watch it.

Like many others have said, this movie is much better than the first one. It's fast-moving, funny, thrilling, and interesting. It's truer to the spirit of the comic book and probably the best comic book adaptation since X2. The action scenes still look like video games, but it looks better this time around. I enjoyed Stan Lee and Bruce Campbell returning in (different) cameos. The actors are better this time around, too. Although James Franco's performance of Harry Osborn was sometimes funnier than it is tortured. Honestly, I didn't think it was as good as some said it was. I wouldn't give this film four stars or anything like that. But now I can't wait for the third movie. If the quality can jump this high between the first and second films, the third one might become the best comic book movie ever made.
